Mission Statement

The University of Hawaiʻi Complex Family Planning Fellowship is committed to advancing equity, inclusion, anti-oppression, and reproductive justice for all people including patients, trainees, faculty, workforce, and the community in which we live. The principles of equity and inclusion, rooted in our programmatic values of kuleanapono, and aloha are the foundations of our educational mission. Our curriculum and educational programs reflect our commitment to recognizing and dismantling structures of oppression and privilege within medical education and in complex abortion and contraceptive care. We continuously seek to identify opportunities for growth and change, and strive to create just educational and clinical environments for all members of our community.
